Welcome to Overton's
Colonel Robert Overton’s Regiment of Foote are a re-enactment group based in the UK, portraying a Parliamentarian New Model Army infantry regiment of the 17th-century British Civil Wars. As part of the English Civil War Society, we aim to bring the history of Civil War soldiers and civilians to life at events across the country from the spectacle of battles, the intricacies of 17th-century drill, to the everyday life of civilians and soldiers in our 'living history' encampment - a hands-on experience of history that you can’t get from a book or film.
New Recruits
We are always looking for new recruits and whether joining by yourself or as a family you will be made very welcome. Members come from all walks of life but we all share a love of history and a social hobby that's a little different from the norm.
If you want to come along to any of our events just to give it a try, please message us via the contact page and we’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have and lend you any spare kit you need for the event. You can find out a bit more on the Join Overton's page.
